K Line remote switch
Posted by bamawhiteman on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 6:38 PM

I have two K Line remote 027 switches but no instructions for connecting.  The control has three wires with the center having a tracer.  The switch has five posts with the one closest to the frog having a G next to it.  Can anyone give me directions on wiring this?

If they're the same as on my old K-Line turnouts, from the frog they are:

1.  Outside rails
2.  Coil for straight path
3.  Coil for diverging path
4.  Coil common
5.  Center rail

Connect the control common to terminal 1.  Connect the other control wires to terminals 2 and 3.  If you intend to power the turnout from the track, connect the last two terminals together.  If you intend to power the turnout from an accessory supply, connect it between terminals 1 and 4.
