Nish .... I have one also ... works great ... I'm glad it does'nt have a built in lighting thingy ... they're the first thing to quit working on lightable items .... I must add a Dremel is way up on the top of my list .

I went to the store for a soldering iron today, because i was getting tired of lugging toy trains and accessories to work just to abuse my access to government equipment, and figured it was about time I bought one. But instead of an electric soldering iron i got one of these Bernz-o-matic pencil torches for $15 at Lowes. Man, this thing rocks. The instructions make absolutely no sense (but who reads those anyway?). It came with 3 different sized soldering tips, a hot knife tip and a tube of solder. It's got a convenient built in kickstand, adjustable flame control and it runs off of a $2 can of butane. I really like the size of the thing, and it's really nice to not have a power cord getting in the way. It came packaged in a useful plastic case with a cleaning sponge. I was surprised to see some negative reviews on the net about this mini torch, but mine works great. The only drawback is that you gotta light it with something else, which I think is really silly with all the click and light cigarette lighters out there, but it does light reliably and heat up quickly. Just watch out for the exhaust blast if you're working on something plastic.
