Looks like they must have a few road names that are not popular. I use to buy engines that got reduced like that and repaint them to my road name. Very tempting. The two Williams engines I got a couple of months ago sure run good.

Hi ChiefEagles! My son has two of the Dash 8 engines and I put TA studio DC boards in them and they are real brusers!,,,I like running them better than the Prototype.
We get Dash 8s on grain trains and they are Quite clumsy for spotting grain at the elevators.
The williams engines are a good buy!

Larry,
I've got a couple of Williams engines that I have been considering adding TMCC. Any feedback on how difficult it was to do the conversion?
Thanks!

It's not hard at all! And if you do get in a bind,Phil and the gang are great at getting you on the right track!!
I just put a basic board in ,No sound or nothing but by having the speakers in there for the Williams horn that just ads to the ease of the sound install if you get that board!

The other thing I will add is ,I had trouble with a couple of DC boards that I had ordered and TA Studios was great about replacing them!
Understand that replacing Electronics is a dicey game! Once you send a board to someone you don't know whats been done to it and so it becomes a judgement call on the Mfgr's part.
I know from experance that TA was good about that with me!!!

I miss the Williams Poster catalogs. I have some hung on the wall in my workshop. It would be spectacular if they did poster style Golden Memories catalogs. They would make great wallpaper.

Yes I ahve 2 SD90's [NS] and they run together in conventional and do not get "crossed up". They are powerful. I have the info on converting them stored in the computer here. Will do later.

Williams is having a fire sale, moving out the stuff that wasn't selling. Where is Marty anyway? He's been in hiding since they said the Golden Memory sets were delayed again.

Chief, I have a Williams Amtrak engine that I installed the TA Studio's board. The only drawback is that the sound is not as good as an engine made for sound.

Buckeye, I understand that the TMCC upgarde board works great in them and will work in my 80's U Boats. A GP38 with dual motors for $120 is mighty tempting.

ChiefEagles,Yes thats right the TA motherboards are made by another vender but are pinned out the same as the Lionel so the upgrades will all work if you want a different sound!
