Things you take apart to use on the layout??

What have you taken apart to use on your train layout? From work I got an unused paper towel dispenser from work. It uses 4 D batteries and has a motion sensor that is adjustable. Not sure how I will use it. I also have an HP color printer thats about 2 years old. It started gumming up but I think I can use parts from the drive mechanism for something. I think it will be fun to take apart. My mom got for me a toy 2' long firetruck with a ladder that tilts and rotates. I think I can use the rotating part of it for a turntable.

I took apart two prior Christmas layouts and used most of the material for the current CONNELLSVILLE SUBDIVISION.

Took apart the drop ceiling in my boy's bedroom to use as cliffs and tunnel lining.

Took apart the panelling in my old bedroom, and used the back side for my 5 arched concrete viaduct.

Took apart my bathroom sink and plan on using it for a catch basin for my LIONEL Rotary Coal dump.

Took apart a kitchen china cabinet:  used the top part as a showcase for my engines, and the drawer linings for girder bridge panels, over Flagherty Creek.

Took apart first marriage over spending on trains.

Just kidding on that last one. Laugh

I think. Dunce
