If all of the above solutions fail, try the link below. I believe they purchased the old K-Line spare parts inventory. The store is pronounced "brasso." Ask to speak with Dean.

Then you need to get your engine to someone's layout that has TMCC. TMCC reprogramming is quick and easy, but requires a CAB-1 and Command Base. Even if you want to run pure Conventional, you should get a set just for reprogramming purposes.

If you give a area you are from, perhaps we can better answer your question. Doesn't have to be specific, but say "Western New York", or something. I have used The Train-Station in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. Others here have had good results from Jeff from the Train Tender. I am not sure where he is located. Either way, you would be well served by calling ahead to make sure they can work on your particular model.

I run conventional only.

Have you done a complete engine re-program using your CAB-1?
I would appreciate a recommendation as to an excellent repair shop to fix Lionel Railsounds in a K-Line 2003 steam locomotive. Althought the locomotive has not been used, it is pre-Lionel's takeover of the company and the warranty has long since expired. There are no sounds whatsoever, although the engine runs well.
