The white powdery stuff has been blowing around for a week or so, time for the snowplow to head to the Cascades.

Four very nice photo posts already this AM.  Thanks for sharing guys.

Phish - Some of those scratch-built structures are over 50 years old.  Got to marvel at that talent.

joetrains - Good looking benchwork there.

Sadly I have no trains set up to take photographs of (yet), but I wanted to contribute to the fun. Below is a snapshot I took this morning of the SEPTA R5 overpass at the Bryn Mawr station along the old PRR Main Line. I've passed by and under this 100's of times over the years, and it always gives me a chuckle:

Cool. I have never seen something like that.... it looks like it needs some new paint though!

This is true. Not sure if it's just worn off over the years or if the powers-that-be have been working on removing it, but I do recall it being much more prominent in years past.

Incidentally, where in SEPA are you? I'd love to get together with people in the area and see a few layouts.

Think I've been thru that same location just a few times myself but believe its been quite a few years since I been there lately.

Now here is the ones that certain folks have been wating for:

Every car that comes to the Roseyville Div. of NS gets its "load".

The Susie Q being loaded with grits.

Here the grits go through the door:

Now the B&O Chessie being loaded with grits:

And through the door they go:

 Nice pics gang,

Laz, I see the Old Milwaukee truck is making a delivery.

Chief, Don't forget to add a little water to the grits before you ship those cars out.  Makes them more filling. Laugh

88 - I took it upon myself to alert the Haz-Mat team.  They are aware of the situation, and are on "stand-by".

Probe - I enjoyed that overall shot.

Seayak - Actually saw a string of those reefers near Rockville Bridge a couple seasons ago.  They really are cool.

Sturgeon, I love that old outside 3rd rail track! It's great seeing someone still using it. It's also neat seeing more modern equipment converted such as that brass creation with a Thomas body on it. The real question that I have is, if OTR was easy to do (which it wasn't), would more do it today?

Nice pics everyone!

Lionel's Conventional Classic, the Lackawanna RR Trainmaster leading another heavy train over the Poconos. The cold weather is keeping the small towns along the route from taking down Xmas decorations. The train crew's mouths are watering as they pass the Stegmaier Beer truck. Only a few miles on the DL&W until they get to the brewery's hometown of Wilkes-Barre, PA. Among the cargo on this trip are Christmas carol sheet music, a load of coal for naughty children, and oil for.... hmm. What do they do with oil, anyways? :/ Just as quickly as the train arrives, it heads out toward the next village.
