Good Track-Cleaning Car Suggestions?
Posted by O-GaugeOscar on Thursday, December 31, 2009 6:58 PM

Can anyone suggest a good track-cleaning car for addition to my "work train" on my three-rail American Flyer/Lionel layout?  Is this a feasible way to keep the rails clean?  Thanks.

I just zip tie a rag to the crappiest car a I have and pull it for 10 minutes.  I use 90%+ alchohol on the rag.

I pull it on the very tail end of the train so if it derails, it will not do so to the entire train.

These guys have THE BEST TRACK CLEANING CAR EVER!!! http://www.rllines.com/Product.html It uses mini paint rollers that can be purchased at any hardware store. After use, the rollers can be cleaned and reused over and over. Steve Bergerson
