Lionel Docksider "Whistle"

I have one of these great little Loco's but the so called whistle is starting to get to me.  I tried looking in the archives to see if there was a thread on anyone who changed over to something that sounds like a steam whistle and came up with nothing.  Can this be done and has anyone done it/  I run in conventional mode.  Thanks

While I love my docksiders, you are right, the sound is not very good.  I have attuned it to a Whizzer, half whistle, half buzzer.  I am not sure what the availability of sound for conventional systems is, but the thread on the Docksider's speed control has developed into added discussion on sound and command control.  I am sure a upgrade will be the order of the day for my fleet.

Check with ERR, I think they make/made a sound board that will fit that sounded much better than the current issue.

I seem to remember a clip on youtube showing a docksider with the improved sounds. Mite try a youtube search.
