Legacy - Base Not Found
Posted by mxnmrv on Saturday, December 26, 2009 12:27 PM

I just received my new Legacy Command System!  However, after charging the batteries which only took about a half a hour, I anxiously wired everything up and turned it on.  I am now having problems as it keeps telling me the base is not found.  After reading the manual and attempting to change the channels, which was hard to find a spot in the house to get a signal, I moved it to my layout to get the same problem.  I tried everything, unplugging my cordless phone, wireless router for the internet, to no avail.  To say the least, I'm getting pretty frustrated.

Has anyone else had this problem, or do I perhaps have a defective system?  Any help or suggestions would be apprciated.

Do you have silver dots inside your remote's battery area? If not you may need to contact Lionel to see about a replacement unit. Also, you will need to upgrade the system's software to v1.2 if it hasn't been upgraded already. This was a common problem prior to the replacement and software upgrade. I personnaly haven't had any issues since my upgrade.

I do have what looks to be some sort of circuit under one of the batteries in the remote.  It has ten round dots that look to be either gold or silver.  Also my system is v1.2
