This week we are starting with

LET FREEDOM RING

WE also wanted to share with you our MTH PS1 engines from one of their first starter sets. For the price, it wasn’t bad considering it has sound.

This is a B & O 2-6-0

Typical of MTH, it has great smoke

be sure to click on the pics to enlarge them.

Let see some of yours

WOW! Does she have a figure! Now, now...I'm not talkin' about those hot looking neighbor babes, guys...I'm talkin' about Marce Urbanski, who makes PERSONALIZED 1:48 scale figures for our O gauge layouts.

Most of us have "people" on our railroad empires, right? Whether they're from Artista, Preiser, K-Line, etc., they do add a nice touch. Marce goes one step further and sculpts them from PHOTOGRAPHS...so you can have figures that resemble family members, pets, famous people - whoever you want! It certainly adds that "personal touch" and those that see them will certainly comment, "Hey, that's your wife, your son/daughter...how cool!" She makes them close enough to be easily recognizeable.

How close does she come? I sent her pics of our family, each in a memorable pose that I think personifies them in a "moment"...unique and timeless. I've included the photographs I sent her to work from so you can judge their accuracy.

You can contact Marce via e-mail: trainsformations@yahoo.com. Cost is $6 - $8 per figure. She also can supply other items such as soccer balls, chairs, and in my case, a model airplane, car creeper, etc. Note the school work that Karen is holding and the visor Jason is wearing while flying his airplane.

They certainly add that personal element to your layout. Enjoy!

These last two show their placement on my little table:

Small Layouts are cool! Low post counts are even more cool! NO GRITS in my pot!!!

Jim, we will definitely be ordering some of these. I need to add Spanky to our layout. Can she work from e-mailed pics or do you have to send her hard copies?

Tom - she needs hard copies...but she can work from digital pictures - just print them. I made mine 5X7 on standard paper...photographic paper would be better, of course...
