WILLIAMS F3 Product review, CTT
Posted by MA and PA JCT on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 6:34 AM
Well, I AM impressed. To come up with all the "positves" and nary a "con", goes to show you how good these puppies are!

Every time I was asked, "how do they look?.....are they just like LIONELS?..same size?....etc,etc....well, now we know.

Hats off to Jerry WIlliams, for a truely great concept. Now, I can now purchase those F's I am missing in my collection, at affordable prices![^][:p][:D]

When are the sets going to arrive? Why won't all of the Madison's be shipped with the F3's? I wouldn't call them a set if they don't come together.[banghead]

Marty,

I had to laugh reading the Con in CTT. Said something about this new set pi**ing off collectors; since it is a fraction of the cost they paid for theirs.

Not sure if I'm thrilled with the "detailed pilot". These diesels were promoted by Williams to be "perfect replicas" and "spitting images" of the originals.

The grab irons and wire vent screens are okay, seeing that those details were at least included on early Lionel F-3's. On another model of an F-3, the new pilots would be a nice addition, but not on what was supposed to be a replica of a Lionel F-3.

How do others feel. Am I being too critical?

Marty, I just think I might have to have one of the AA combos. [:)] Great review. Each time I read it, it gets better.
