Any "O"-guagers in wheelchairs?

I've been wheelchaired all my life and have gone from O to HO to N and now I'm going back to O. I'd like to hear from any O-guagers in wheelchairs for idea-sharing, etc, esp. about how to build or start the layout (I'm planning a "U" shaped layout with wireless command control - a whole new ballgame since my Dad got me a Lionel Hudson freight in 1952 for around the Christmas Tree when I was 15 months old - unfortunately long gone....). I prefer MTH Rugged Rails for steam locos - they're detailed enough for a spastic CP and yet don't look like toys.

All thou we are not in a wheel chair, if we can help please just ask. We have MTH DCS and I have to agree with you on the Rugged Rails. Hard to bet a commanded controlled engine for that price.

Yes, welcome to the CTT forum. There are people here that really know all about O gauge. Do you have access to a public library? If so, they may have some real good video about building a layout.

Welcome! Even though I am not in a wheelchair, I am disabled at times from gout. I find that my reaching tool (the grabber) is something I cannot live without. But that is when the benchwork is finished.

The only thing I can suggest is get adjustable saw horses and clamp your wood to be cut close to your seated position. A skil saw can cut most every thing, even 2X4s if you buy a longer blade. Lowe's is where I found my long blade.
