Hi Guys Got a jump start on the rest of you by being on Pacific Time. I built some Howe Truss Bridges recently. I set the bridge on fire and ran a SD18 across it and it looked like this

No model photos to show, as usual, but here are some fresh shots of the Twin Cities new light rail cars. The line will be opening it's first phase June 26th. These shots were taken Friday, just outside the Metrodome.

Good Morning all,

As I was re-entering the hobby, back in 1997, my now wife bought me a Lionel starter set to rekindle my love to toy trains. I make sure that I still find time to run it.

Those Lionel 4-4-2's can sure pull alot! The most cars Ive gotton it to pull (some of the plastic ones have marbles put in them to bring them up to dicast weight) is 6, beacause thats all the cars that I have, and it still hardly affects it![:D]

Don 't have any new pictures but I will probably have some next two weeks.

Elliot, the R works perfectly, and I have figured out something involving it that I was puzzeled with... Block Wiring![^]

I was expirmenting with the R and two light switches, and I got it!

Good work Jerry! When I was your age I was clueless about such things, and had no one to ask. Your light switches are probably just simple on / off type. Those are the SPST's that Bob and I were telling you about.

The SPDT allows you to choose between the two throttles, that's the next step as your layout grows. There is even a light switch that does that, called a 3 way. They are fairly inexpensive, but don't have a center off position.

I just insulated each block with an insulator pin in the middle rail at the end of each block, and the put a lockon on each block... etc

I made a paint program diagram of this but I can't figure out how to turn a bmp. into img. I ll have to figure it out, but help would be apprciated.[:D]

We have done a few topics here about how to post photos. Use the search feature and find one. The key is that you need to have your photos up on the web before you can post them.

HI Jerry,
You could always print it out and then take a picture of it. Then post the picture

Change the .bmp to a .jpg and then post the photo. Microsoft Paint will change a photo using the save as command then telling it to save it as a .jpg.

Hi Angelo,

That is the smoke only from pulling out of the engine shed to where it is.

It would smoke more after warming up a while.
