I went to the local UPS outlet to ship my defective P5a back to MTH; and I could not believe what happened there. The UPS clerk insisted that she had to take my P5a out of it's original packaging and put it in a box she felt would be more appropriate; she did not like the fact that, it moved around, when she shook it in it's original box. According to this person, she could not insure the item for damage unless she packed it herself , her own way. So the Pennsy P5a is making it's way to Columbia via Fed EX. I couldn't believe that. Have any of you had a similar experience shipping your trains. By the way, I canceled my subscription after my second exit from the forum. Bob at least took the time to explain his views. Bob's concerned I was trying to stir the pot, but I wasn't. Anyway if somebody is going to screw with my trains, I'll deal with it, if and when it happens. I am more interested in getting the defect problems remedied; and having a good time with some brand new trains. By the way, to replace the lost SD 70 ACe I've got the new Pennsy GP 35 coming; so if everything works out I should have my hands full with some new stuff to play with, and I may not be so negative-eh. Sort of going to miss this forum.
