I'm looking for feed back on this Train Minder program. Is it user friendly and what is the image CD for and is it useful? I am trying to recatalog my whole train collection due to the fact that the TrainTracker from Bangzoom is no longer updateable.
Thanks in advance...
I have a low bucks altermative. I use an MS Excel spreadsheet to catalog my collection. I have a one line description sheet that I can sort by model no, type, road name, store, date, etc. I have another sheet where I include a picture of each item below the description. I get pictures from the makers website, ebay or my digital camera. An example is listed below:
Model No. Type Road Name Road Number Store Price Date Mfg Status

Hi,
I looked at it myself and it looks pretty good and thinking of getting it. It does seem more user-friendly than TrainTracker. Almost Ebay-ish (there's a new word within the past 15 years).
As I understand it the separate image CD set can be used in conjunction with Train Minder for research, etc...don't think you have to get those to get the program started. I think Train Minder can also import your TrainTracker info, but don't quote me.
It looks like a winner at least to me. Did they review this in one of the toy trains mags? If not, they should (hint).
That looks like a very nice spread sheet you have there. I'm looking for something that will help me up date pricing easier. For thr ins. company..
Mr.s I think you are right on all counts...I am in the middle of a basement remodel with a new layout in the works but when I get a chance that is the way I will go....
