Yes, they are in very nice shape.  I told my friend what they are worth, from what the hobby shop told me.  And he offered me $750 for the 3 car set.  I would be satisfied with that.  I think I might sell it to him for that much.  Cut him a deal of some sort.  The hobby shop says that his books value the set at almost $1,000 for the 3 car set.  He asked if I had the GG1 that went with them, I told them I sold that years ago.  Oh well. Thanks for the interest, if you have any questions feel free to post or email to me, or whatever.

lionel2

I am looking for the book values of these cars.  I have (3) 2625 heavyweight cars with the same numbers, but different names.

They are in excellent condition and with all original boxes and inserts.

Here is a website with additional information about those cars :  postwarlionel.com

I would imagine,  if they are in the condition that you describe, with "all orginal boxes and inserts", that if placed for auction, they would command a princely sum!!!

If you are willing to part with them at the highest price ($350.00) suggested by green97probe, contact me, immediately!

Something tells me they would probably command much more than that...   if   they are in the condition that you describe, and you can post detailed photos of their actual appearance.

lionel2,

I'd say about $250-$350 for all three.  Personally, I would keep them IMHO.

I am looking for the book values of these cars.  I have (3) 2625 heavyweight cars with the same numbers, but different names.  The one is an Irvington, others are Madison and Manhattan.  I believe they are from 1946 to 1948.  They are in excellent condition and with all original boxes and inserts.  I have no idea what they are worth.  I plan on selling them to a friend and would like to know a good asking price for them.  All the lights work, steps are all there and doors as well.  All door have springs and just little spots of black on the tuscan paint, nothing serious.  They are a very nice set of cars.  Thanks.
