Sure they're reading this forum. Its a cheap inexpensive way to get a pulse of what the consumer wants. If they're not, then their product management and marketing departments are not doing their jobs.

If they read this: START EXPORTING TO EUROPE!!!! we are waiting for something new, h0 marklin and roco layouts bore us to death. WE WANT BIG ACTION WITH SOUND, SMOKE AND LIGHTS and not a tiny steamer you have to follow with a mignifying glass.
This message is not only for Lionel (who has a swiss exportpoint) but also for K-line, MTH and every other toytrain manufacturer who wants to be taken seriously.
Emagine; I can't even buy track in 3-rail 0 gauge. How do we have to get enthousiastic about something which isn't for sale here?
Average h0 engines will set you back between 150 and 200 euro's each (200-250 dollar) and when I see the prices listed for 0 track train sets and engines I think they could form a good alternative to h0.
EUROPE HAS STILL NO 0 GAUGE, WAKE UP!!
Daan. I'm Dutch, but only by country...

Of course they read this forum and other forums too. Sad part is that they use the forums to their advantage by having various proxy forumites post 'teasers' and information on their new releases. Yet they rarely if ever reply to any negative comments about their customer service.

I'm sure that they do, in fact, monitor these sites. Unfortunately; they choose not to post. Or, they get a proxy. I don't think this site has any proxies but the other toy train site has a couple.

I know the manufactures read the OGR Forum as I have head them all state at York that they do so but do they check in here to see what people on this forum have to say? Does any one know? While this forum may not see as much activity as OGR there is still a lot of good information here as well. I now read both forums and enjoy both equally.
