DCRX is the reporting mark of the Deadwood Central Railroad Co. This is a private company formed for the purpose of owning and oeprating this rail car.

Jon, you might want to try this question over on the Trains Magazine forum. Leasing would be my guess too.

DCRX Reporting Marks?
Posted by Kooljock1 on Sunday, April 25, 2004 2:45 PM
Hey Gang!

I was in Saint Albans today to march in the annual Maple Festival parade. Near the staging area was a small yard off The New England Central main line, with a cyclone fence around it. Inside this fence was a nice assortment of Budd-built stainless passenger cars.

There was a baggage, several coach cars, two domes(one was "Silver Platter" I believe), a kitchen car, and a boat-tailed Obs with no dome. They were all lettered with a red stipe above the windows with "ACADIA" on the stripe. The reporting marks for the cars are "DCRX".

"DCRX" sounds like aleasing company. Anybody have any information?

Thanks!
