People who belong to an O Gauge and O Scale model railroad club can put together a fund to purchase one or two of the Vision Line Locomotives as a club for operation on the Club Layout or Model Railroad.

With all those exciting features the intention might be to share the experience of operating these Locomotives with other people.

I think they called it the Vision Line instead of the JLC line cause the only way some of us will see or possibly touch one is if we smoke the peace pipe and have "Visions"

I was looking around on YouTube today and found this video. Dose anybody know about this? When I saw it I couldn't beileve my eyes. A demonstration of the Lionel Vision Line. This is not my video, somebody else's.

Your's Truly, took this video. It was a Lionel Town Meeting demo of the Vision line that was held in Cleveland a few weeks ago. I posted this on the Sunday Photo Fun, 3-15-09.

This engine is an older engine was was retrofited with the Vision extras for demortation.

Was this held on Ridge Road because in the background at the beginning it says Ridge Road?

The 2-6-6-2, is just an exisisting model reworked as a testbed for the new features, like the Steam Whistle blowing steam(smoke), the Steam blow down(also actually smoke) which both look really coolThumbs Up, and the swinging bell.

The only production engines that have these features so far, are the Pennsy 0-8-8-0, and the Santa Fe 2-10-10-2, If that 2-6-6-2 warmed your heart, don't get your hopes to high.

For ME, if they do an Early Union Pacific Challenger, The original Challengers that preceeded the 3985 and her Sisters, I would be ALL OVER that, I would find the money for that somewhere.

It maybe a small thing, but I wish they hadn't monkeyed with the name, I personally prefered JLC, to Vision Line. Joshua Lionel Cowen, was an important man not only to the company that he founded, but also to the Hobby as a whole, I felt putting his name on the VERY BEST, that Lionel produced was very fitting, I do Hope that Lionel reconsiders this move, but I am also sure that the new High End Line will still be very special items.

I forgot to tell you. There are other videos of this engine on the Lionel website. Go to the top right of the screen of the home page of the Lionel website and you'll see videos there. Click there and there are the videos of the other Vision Line Engines.

I agree ... but with the way ebay's been going lately .... who knows . Up until last month you could get an aux. tender in the $60-70.00 range ... today they were going for a whopping $ 130.00 + price .... and I'm talking the lowest line version ... the plain jane UP .

That's really impressive. But with the price tag of that magnitude how many of us are going to see one in real life?

Probably not that many. With that price nobody is going to buy this engine unless they have a lot of money to spare.
