Have you tried your local hobby shop or Radio Shack store? Radio Shack has 14.4 volt bulbs.

Ordering on-line means you have to pay shipping as well.

Bulb Replacement
Posted by marxalot on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 9:18 PM

Howdy. I recently purchased a set of street lamps; not Lionel.  I liked the shape with the crooked neck style. These units use an MP 270 bulb rated 30 ma and 14 volts. The bulb has threads on it and is pretty small. Just wondering if anyone knows of a replacement that might put out a bit more light. I checked voltage and even with 14 volts right at the unit it isn't very bright. Just wondering. I know you have to give up something here, lamp life probably, but these things are pretty wimpy as lights........ maybe they are day-lights just for effect!

Thanks.
