Hey Nitroboy,

Sorry to say, I won’t make it, that’s about a 2 ½ drive for me. But do have one of those great funny hot dogs that they are well known for.

I'll try to be there. Thanks for posting the notice Dave. I'll watch for the telephone poles. For those that don't understand Spankybird's comment about the funny hot dogs, Bucyrus, Ohio is famous for their bratwursts. Mmmm good!

We went to the Bucyrus Bratwursts Festival a few years back. It was a great time and you are right about the bratwursts. Has to be the best I have ever had. I couldn’t believe when the wife wanted to stop at McDee’s. [;)]

Where is Bucyrus in relation to Athens?

Athens is Southeast of Columbus on US 33 and Bucyrus is almost due north of Columbus. When people from Columbus go to the Lake Erie to fish, most of them travel through Bucyrus. (And Columbus is the center of the State of Ohio.) From Columbus to Bucyrus the drive time is just over 1 hour.

Dave,
We must have just missed each other. I was there at about 2:00pm. Picked up a nice covered hopper car. I really like some of the smaller shows because you can get some real good deals.[8D]

I had to leave early, my daughter got real sick. Sorry to miss you. Maybe next time. I picked up a few things, a post-war milk car and platform for $35, needs a little work, and I bought my first(of hopefully many) WIlliams engine. A Virginian FM. Real nice. Pulls better than anything I have.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. My daughter was so sick two weeks ago she ended up at Mt. Carmel East.

I saw several good deals on Williams and they will pull.

Take care

Ohio folks...teach me how to pronounce Bucyrus. Is it Bue-SIGH-rus, or BUE -sirrus, or...??? I have the old PW Lionel Bucyrus-Erie crane car and never did know how to say it.

Yah, but guys,

Waite until Jim (the Texan) Duda finds out that Lake Eire really isn’t a lake, it was just someone from Texas called it that. It’s really just a river, but they don’t have rivers that big in Texas, therefore they think it’s a lake. [;)][;)][;)] [(-D] [(-D] [(-D] [(-D]
