How do I hook up Marklin track to power.

Hi!
I'm used to regular HO. But I got some nice marklin engines and some new track. It is 3-rail. What wires go where? Can it be hooked up to a basic tyco powerpack, or do I need a special transformer? Thanks you for the help.

I think Marklin is AC not DC, so attaching it to a Tyco DC transformer might not be a good idea. You might want to post something over in the Model Railroader forum.

Traditional Maerklin, like traditional Lionel and American Flyer, should work fine on DC. The risk is that you might have some newer electronic controls that need special power provisions.

You might post your question on http://www.worldrailfans.org/Forum/Index.shtml . That forum has a lot of European modelers familiar with Maerklin.
