Sounds like they are trying to get out of the business, since they probably get so many complaints. I think that it is clear that they weren't doing a very good job hosting the photos anyway. Now they are cutting the service and raising the requirements.

To properly fini***he job though, they will need to begin charging a fee for their "service". We should all look for an annoucement just before the holidays. [;)]

Sorry Buckeye, HP has rendered posting photos here moot.

NEWs from HP PHOTO

HP Photo is revising a few terms of service. The following changes will help us better focus on the HP Photo benefits members have told us are most important.

· Effective April 26, 2004, links from HP Photo to other sites such as auction sites and community discussion boards will no longer be allowed. Please check with the site that you are interested in linking your photos to in order to determine the most appropriate method of including photos with your posting.

· Effective June 1, 2004, the "inactive member" definition will be lowered from six months to three months without account owner login. After 90 days of inactivity, account owners will be notified and given two weeks to login. If there is no activity within the two weeks, the account will be removed.

· Effective June 1, 2004, HP Photo will accept the upload of images up to 10 MB and 10 megapixel resolution. This enables us to support the advances in digital photography and camera technology.

Making these changes helps us provide the best service possible and pursue new features and applications that we are planning to launch in the months to come.

We'll I guess we don't need to worry about linking photos from HP to the CTT forum anymore.
