OK THANKS i see whats wrong now the two wires on the left on bottom pic have been cut in two and a wire soldered to them. i picked this up at a show and it needed rewired as you can tell. again thanks
The 165 and 182 share the same wiring.
#6 (power) is the binding post (rusty screw wired to the controller only) on the right.
#3 (yellow) wire goes to the motor (outer field). NOT BOTH. #1 (black) wire goes to the motor (inner field). The black and yellow wires are tied together here (not connected) for straign relief. You can see in the photo below. It looks like I may have the 3 & 5 colors switched, but they both go to the motor coil.
#5 (yellow) wire goes to celenoid coil A, #4 (black) wire goes to celenoid coil B.
The second photo shows the jumper wire at the motor brush on the right, and the field winding connection to the motor brush on the left.
both cranes as in the 165 and 282??????????
Both cranes are supposed to be wired exactly the same I'm told ... here is a couple links to manual and etc .
