To ensure victory in the future, this might help:

Welcome to the forum!

There's a switch on the underside of the engine. Perhaps it got flipped to the wrong position. Try setting it in the other position. If that doesn't work, the wires going to said switch could be bad, the reversing unit could be bad, or the transformer you're using to power it might not be going zero volts before trying to go the opposite direction. But let's just start with the switch, and hope for the best Smile.

Train only goes in one direction

I own a Lionel 18838 Seaboard RSC-3 Diesel Engine that I received around Christmas time in mint condition. The train has recently stopped operating in both directions. It only goes forward. Could some tell me of how I could perhaps fix this problem?

Thanks,

Devlin
