Thats the one in red plastic, they are not reliable and prone to burn out. The diodes don't seem to handle a heavy load. I can't say for sure but the power of a ZW may have fried it. Try it on the other transformer again.

whistle control button

HI Guys

I went to a train show today and picked up an older whistle control button 8251-50 .I tried it on a test track  with a small lionel 25watt trans.   It worked fine  but when I tried to hook it up to my layout powered by 250zw trans. it  popped the  circuit  braker to that track.  I can't find a wiring diagram  for wiring of this control button to make it operate  properly with the zw tranformer.I run a conventional 3 loop system, nothing fancy.  Can anyone help with a wiring diagram?  thank you MODEL A
