Boy, I like this forum!

As one of the OGR "refugees" or "deserters," I've really enjoyed the past few weeks of posting off and on on this board.

First, there's not so much traffic that the posts disappear quickly. Along that same line, I can miss several days, as I'm inclined to do, and still find followups in a thread I may have been following.

Second, the help level here is really good. There are lots of knowledgeable model railroaders (sorry, I just can't call them TT[V], but that's OK if that's the term you like), and the information content is tops.

And third, the tone of the board is what I call uplifting. There's not a lot of bad-mouthing and complaining, at least not in the posts I read. It's a pleasant forum for asking questions, offering help, or just absorbing information.

Thanks, CTT and fellow posters!

I have also come to the conclusion that this is a much better forum. The other forum seemed a bit to "Upper Class" for me. Not saying that this forum is lower class, but I feel much more comfortable here, for all the reasons harpitect points out.

This is the "everyman" forum, equality , democracy, freedom of speech, and helpfulness from everyone are the thing that make this forum so great. The recent addition of all of the new members has only made it better, with more interesting topics and new ideas and opinions.

I expect that our numbers will continue to increase as the June deadline approaches. We have a good solid well behaved group here, and I think WE can handel any challenge that may arrise in the future, which will hopefully be none.

AS ALWAYS, HAVE FUN!!!!!![:D][8D][^]

There goes Elliot running for President again. :) No, this is a good place to be. Even got a few joksters on here. Not me! I'm always serious. Excellent source of train knowledge. We even get blessed with soemvery good pictures and a video once in a while. The "introduction" of the OGR gang has helped with the amount of knowledge available. Me I dropped in a couple of months before the OGR gang joined us. I have really been glad to "meet" some great folks on here.

I hope both survive and thrive. I'm comfortable with both places. I hope this forum is as comfortable with me.
