Lets see, Weaver steam. I have the 0-8-0, the GS-2 4-6-2, THe S1 4-8-4, and the New Haven I-5. Had a small problem with the new haven but weaver fixed it for free in a week. Aside form that all run very very well. I love the GS-2, Personel favorite. Bill

I have a little Weaver brass 0-6-0 Switcher and a 4-6-2 streamlined Pacific which has been converted to TM/RS 4.0. I haven't run the Switcher in several years but I operate the Pacific about twice monthly and it performs very well.

I think the quality and the detailing are first rate. I seem to recall that CTT did a review of these engines and, if memory serves me right, they had a complaint with respect to stiffness of the running gear. My engine certainly seems to run well and I don't have the sense that the running gear is tight but then I may not be looking at the same thing that the CTT article referenced.

How are Weaver Brass Steam engines (Reading G Series) as far as quality and running abilities?[8D]
