I don't know about Lemax, but for Department 56 items I have been very pleased with The Gift Gallery (www.thegiftgallery.com) in Webster, MA. They had the Animated Skating Pond when no local dealers did, and delivery was very quick. When I had a problem with it they sent a replacement immediately and then faxed me a pre-paid UPS label to send the defective one back. In my opinion they're a class act all the way.

Look at all the Dept. 56 ads in the column on the right!

Bob,

How right you are! This is a seasonal item in many stores. i believe I saw some over the holidays in Wal-Mart, but I could be mistaken. Fake snow and other stuff is seasonal too. Unfortunately.

One place for Dept 56 is www.bronners.com They are a all year around Christmas store.
It will be harder to find Lemax when its out of the season.

It should be noted that most of the people for Dept 56 or Lemax are not to O Gauge size. Dept 56 used to make a series call Seasons By the Bay. These people were very close to scale and looks great on the layout. I have many of their pieces on my layout.

The well is Dept 56,

The horse drawn wagon and many of these people are also Dept 56

The trees are great and many of the houses are good. I have a Dept 56 church on my layout and it fits the time of the layout great.

I never noticed that the adds on the side changed with each thread. Very Interesting that it has Dept 56 adds on this thread. Verrrrry Interesting in deed.

Go Collect has a fairly good selection, but pricey.

A good year 'round selection of Lemax items is at
www.ehobbytools.com
I've ordered things even Micheals did'nt even have in-season. Good prices and quick shipping. EBay will kill you, shipping cost wise. All Lemax and Dept.56 figures are too large for "O", but the buildings are close enough. Joe

There is a Dept. 56 store at The Mall of America in MN. Lots of good stuff there.

many of the buildings are very close to 'O' Guage and people (except 'Seasons by the Sea') are closer to 'G' gauge. [;)]
