Just to toss ideas, how about a spring load on the hinges? I think it has them ,or use a magnetic lock. Glue a magnet and a receiver plate to catch it. Non standard methods but at least one would work.

I have a hard time keeping the boiler front on my 226E closed. There is a little clip inside the front that is supposed to catch on the boiler casting to keep it closed. The adjustment on that clip (by bending it) is very critical. If I bend it for more engagement, I can't get the boiler front to close. If I reduce the engagement, the boiler front won't stay closed. What is a good way to keep the boiler front closed? I want the boiler front to remain functional, i.e., I want to be able to open it. Thanks.
