Double Wow!!

I just received two purchases in the mail over the last few days and my reaction to both is WOW!

1st - the Lionel 19742 Erie Bay Window Crew Talk caboose. This is amazing. You lash it up to your engine and run it as a train, then when you use the crew talk and towercom, it sounds like they are talking to each other. If you run TMCC you should get one of these. My kids and mother-in-law were so excited about it. We had a great time. Lionel made four of these: Erie, Pennsylvania, ATSF and SP. Supposedly they also have regional dialects.

2nd - the Lionel 18461Track Cleaning Car. Amazing. This is my first track cleaning car. Let me tell you, if you don't have a track cleaning car, get one. This works! I could not believe how much grime the pads picked up. Also, it looks really cool. It is painted yellow like a MOW vehicle. Just be sure you have a strong engine to pull it becuase it has a lot of resistance while it is cleaning the track. The Lionel Track Cleaning car comes with 2 bottles of track cleaning fluid and several replacement pads.
