Ebay is a good place to find Marx switches. As for the vinyl roadbed, I've heard good reports on it on another forum. Supposed to be easy to use and great at deadening sound. Hot glue seems to be the preferred method of laying vinyl roadbed.

My understanding is that Marx made only O27-profile track, in O27 and O34 diameter. O34 switches are not hard to find, if that is what you want.

Thanks for the information. Yes, I am looking for Marx swhitches in 0-34. I guess my fingers just hit the wrong keys when I posted this message. I did find some Marx switches on ebay, but I they seemed to be in need of some cleaning and repair. I will continue to look as I am just now in the process of building my bench-work. I am going to a train show on Saturday March 27, and see what I can find out. It will be 10' X 18'6" with two cross-overs and several switches for sidings. I am not quite sure what kind of transfomer I will need, but am seriously considering going with remote control. This seems to be an interesting project so far.
