Jim,

I saw this photo of your layout and liked the boat and fisherman so much that I bought the exact set today.

How do you get those tiny fishing poles attached to these guys? My guys want to catch lunker, too.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Compare the bend in the rod in this image to the one in yours...I bent this one around a small bottle, using it as a mandrel. It should be a nice smooth curve...

Thanks so much Jim. I know Doc Mo and Leroy will now catch some big lunkers unless Leroy gets the hook in his hand, like he did at Ivanhoe River in 1998. I wonder if that boat will handle a Merc 200?

Thanks again.

Most I've been able to hook on the back was a Yammie 150...it didn't troll too well...(wink)

Hey Jim, look at the picture of me on the "How to Post Pictures" by Spanky. NC fish. If you need help, I have a lot of buddies in Texas that fish all the time. In fact, I fly there in June to fish all over Texas. You need to paint RANGER on the sides near the back of that boat. That will bring the blood boiling inTexas as Skeeters are built in Texas. Very good job on the fishing scene. I displayed it on the Bass Fishing Network.

Chief - I think Doc, Mo, Leroy, Buck, and Dooodaaah need to hire you as a guide on Lake Envirotex so we can catch some of those hogs like you're holdin' on some top water buzz baits...! We'll limit in no time and can go back home and run our trains!

Jim, I really do a lot of crappie fishing [some of my Texas buddies say that applies to my abilities too [:I]]. Bass is my second choice. I also walleye fish but I have to travel to do that.

Take a look at this web page to see how fishing and trains are combined in Ontario.

http://www.tatnallcamp.com/train_photos.htm

I don't think any of these photos are more than 5 years old, but it is a step back in time when you see the station at Hawk Junction. The old F units have been retired. BTW, the first photo on the top row is l-r, Fearless, Horse'em, Curly and Leroy.

Now I could fi***hree. Beautiful lake. Pretty scenery. One of my desires in life, do a fishing trip in Canada. Use to visit a French Canadian friend there [he passed away]. He was a golfer so I never got to fish while I was there.

Nice work with the fishing pole.

Sometimes, it's the little things on the layout that attract the most attention--attention to details like that make a good layout great.

My best fishing experience was in 1973 when I went to Northern Ontario to several unnamed lakes just south of Hudson Bay. Wallaye and Northern Pike, giant sized, struck nearly every time you trolled w/a spoon. Delicious too, but the bugs were really bad as it was springtime.
