Trying to find out what i have

ive got a old American flyer train set. the wheels have white lines around them and it has a talking station, a building that says "guilford on it " and much much more. it is a big comptete and in great condition set with no box. i am trying to find out the value of this set. i will be takeing pics of it and would love some help. if you think you can help me please email me at [e-mail] Thanks, Bob.

What you have is a postwar American Flyer S gauge train set from the early 1950's. If you could make a list of the items you have and their numbers, I can look up the values and give them to you. I can give you values on the stations you mentioned. The station would be a #755 talking station. If is has a green roof, it is worth $50 in good condition and $120 in excellent condition. If the roof is blue it's then worth $85 good, $155 excellent. The Guilford building is an operating station, either #766 or K766. There should be a passenger car that goes with the building and has open doors on each end on one side. When it's operated, miniature people "walk" in and out of the passenger car and the building. Really fun to watch. The difference between the 766 and K766 is the couplings on the passenger car. The 766 has "link and pin" style couplings on the passenger car and is worth $55 in good and $190 in excellent condition. The K766 has "knuckle" couplers that look more like the type a real train has. It is worth $55 good and $205 excellent. Keep in mind, though, to get these values, the station, passenger car and people must all be there.
