Many of you have read this on another forum, but I don't want to miss you. If you are in the Mobile, AL - Pensacola, FL area the weekend of March 20 - 21, we invite you to visit our Model Train Show on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay at the Fairhope, AL, Kindergarten-First Grade Center, 100 S. Church Street, 9 - 5 Saturday and 10 - 4 Sunday. The show, sponsored by South West Alabama Railroad Modelers, is in its 12th year and will feature six operating model train layouts plus close to 100 tables of model trains and train-related items for sale.

There will be two O-gauge layouts -- an older layout belonging to SWARM (see www.lots-trains.org and click on "Operating Layouts") and a new hi-rail layout being built by Bay Area Rail Roaders. There will be HO layouts from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, from Birmingham and from Pensacola, and an N layout from Pensacola.

In addition to two large multi-product vendors (12 tables each) there will be six or so (2 - 3 tables each) who sell used (postwar, etc.) Lionel, etc. and at least one that sells Williams and Weaver.

And be sure to bring your spouse! This is also the weekend of the gigantic Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival and the Eastern Shore Art Gallery's Outdoor Art Show. The steets of Fairhope will be blocked off and filled with arts and craft booths from early Friday morning until late Sunday afternoon.

For information contact George Nelson, (251) 990-9144 or Herb Kern, (251) 660-1659, or post a reply on this forum.
