MA&PA JCT AT TRAIN SHOW THIS WEEKEND!
Posted by MA and PA JCT on Thursday, March 11, 2004 8:22 PM
Well, let me introduce myself, I just joined tonight, I see some people who have bailed out of OGRR, due to a FEE that will start in JUNE. I have a lot of followers over there, so I have not decided wether I will abandon it or not.

I am a WILLIAMS AUTHORIZED DEALER, in BALT,MD. I've been selling WILLIAMS TRAINS since 1994, and proud of it. Inexpensive, reliable, LIFETIME WARRANTY!

A large percentage of my sales are through the internet, and I have a secure site, where you can order WILLIAMS,KLINE,etc.

AS a rule I do not post prices, on Forums, not really ethical. If you like to be place on my EMAIL SALE LIST, please email me (do not request it here, I may not see it.

I'll will be at the TALL CEDARS HALL, in Balt,MD SAT 3/13. Show starts at 8:30AM, Admission is $4 adults, children under 12 free.

Take exit 31 south of I-695 Beltway, to first light Putty Hill, turn right.
Go APPROX .6 mile to hall on your left, i a small shopping center.

Gotta go pack trains! See YA.

All the Best,
MARTY

Marty,
What other train shows do you sell at? Do you ever cross those mountains into western Pennsylvania, West Virginia or Ohio.

I've heard and read several good comments about you as a dealer.

I have recently ordered my third engine from Marty. Check out his website. Responds to e-mails, and just nice to deal with.

Marty, glad to see you posting here. Aside from the obvious advertising element, your posts often keep us all informed of what William's is up to, when product is coming, what new road names are coming, etc. etc. No secret that you had and have the repect of many from the other Forum as you will here too.

You also once on a Wiliams related thread, have some very nice things to say about what I had written on the topic. I don't remember the specifics, but have never forgotten your supportive thoughts.

The topic of Williams has come up over here over the months. And their simple approach with quality has been brought up here. I know there have been some who were previously unaware of Williams and we fixed that. And you've been mentioned too as someone to check out for Williams product.

And in my take, it's not really a matter of this Forum versus that Forum. Just as with their respective magazines, both offer much to the hobby. And the more variety, the more who can participate, which of course is good.

Thanks all, for the support! I REALLY try hard to meet the customers needs. It is a MUST in my business. AND by that I mean MY business, not the train business.

AS it is, MA&PA JCT is ONE person. There is no MA, she (wife) could care less about the trains. So, I am the Chief "cook and bottle washer", to say the least. AS the CHIEF,
I get to: order trains; pick up the trains at WIlliams; pack the trains; input UPS shipping on-line; answer emails; answer FAX'es; input CC charges; buy supplies; do the book work; do this;do that. And then go to train shows on week ends.

Other Co's like JUSTRAINS, LONG ISLAND TRAINS, etc, have several employees, thousands of customers. For them to lose one customer (for what ever reason) is like a drop in a bucket. For me, 1 or 2 can be disasterous (sic?). So....I try harder (not that I wouldn't , if I was a BIG CO.).

'Nuff said....I gotta go!

Joe,

NO SEE.....where? At their web site? Magazines? The only place to SEE the GOLDEN MEMORIES, is at their site: www.williamstrains.com; click on the GOLDEN MEMORIES catalog button. HINT: if unable to READ any files, you have to upgrade your PC system with the latest version of MICROSOFT WINDOWS.

The "other" place is the golden memories catalog itself.

Marty, I have one complaint that you must deal with.
When I purchase a Williams engine from you I never have a chace to find it with a defect and have to send it back. You see from buying other brands I have gotten to know the friendly female UPS counter person well. I miss her. Perhaps it is a plan by my wife to keep me away from her? Marty can't Williams stick some techno-babble into their engines so I can spend more time shipping them back for service?
I Miss Her!

John Jr. and Marty - Funny, but when I tell my wife that I'm gonna buy another Williams train she just smiles and gives me her credit card...but if I tell her I'm thinkin' about buying another brand, she scowels and hides her purse. I just wi***hat UPS counter babe wasn't so attractive...(sigh)

Marty!

Glad ta see ya over here as well. Got my two Williams Western Maryland engines sitting on the bench beside me as I type. I gotta echo the same positive comments about MA & PA that the others have made. The only new motive power I've purchased since getting back into O guage have been Williams - 2 from Marty and one in the process from another OGR member (not a dealer). It would have been 3 from Marty, but this opportunity on OGR was too good (sorry Marty, will have to be next time). Marty's attitude, service, and prices are all the best!

For JOE: Ahhh......Now me see what you mean. SLOW boat from China is correct, ETA for the GOLDEN MEMORY'S is now lqate APR, early MAY, give or take a week.

**Droool**.....cant wait to get my hands on the F3's. I saw the CP at WILLIAMS several months ago (prototype), if you sat the LIONEL/Williams Side by side, you'd swear they are twins. Just my[2c] worth!!

Hey Marty,

No, you didn't ship them recently - the GP-9 was around this time last year I think, and the BL-2 was a little more recent (or is it the other way around....). I pulled them out of the boxes to give me some incentive to get off my fat *** and fini***he benchwork . That, and I made a reply or two to a few threads "elsewhere" questioning Williams longevity and direction. CTT won't accept a three letter "handle" like GPJ that I go by on OGR, so I was SOL unless I added the 68 (the vintage of my Cougar, which is currently in the same state as my benchwork.....).

I just keep glancing over at them and think "Cool!!!" - now I gotta get moving on finishing the benchwork (and cleaning up the old track, and settling on a layout plan, and......).

I'm down here in Courtland, VA - if that doesn't ring a bell, it's no biggie. Just know that you've got another satisfied repeat customer who'll be returning again when the funds allow.
