Aw heck! When I enclose the above links with img in brackets and /img in brackets they don't display automatically.

The skating pond above was made from Envirotex Lite (avail at Michael's). I tinted it gray with some liquid pigment. It cures rock hard overnight and is not as "rubbery" as the Woodland Scenics Realistic Water.

But I sure wish I could figure out how to bring images up automatically...oh well...

Hi Jim,
I gave your photo's a try without any better luck than you have had. The photo's that I have posted have a '.jpg' extention. This is the only differance that I can see. If you place your mouse over the photo and right click, then click on properties you can compare.

Spank - I guess it must be that hpphoto, where I put my images, formats them a different way...oh well. I hope the folks won't mind the extra mouse click to open them...but yours definitely wins!

Hi Jim,

I have to tell you that I’m at a lose an how to post your pitchers. I must have spent almost 2 hours trying different syntax with out any luck.

Have you posted any pitchers from HPPhoto on other forms?

Is this the only place that you have to place your pitchers?

Do you belong to MTH RRC?

Thank you for your effort, Spank...I post them all the time on OGR...when you click their "insert image" icon, a dialogue box opens and you simply paste your link in it. When you click this forum's icon box, the bracketed IMG appear and you have to be careful to insert your link between them. No, this is not the only place I have to place my pictures and no, I don't belong to MTH RRC.

Like I say, it requires just a couple of mouse clicks to open them...guess that will have to do...

Thanks again for trying!

Hi Jim, I have once or twice posted photo's thier. The first time I did not know of the drop dodwn window so I wrote the syntex. I post my pitchers on my web page and pull them from thier (MTH RR club). It's part of the membership fee. You can check it out by clicking on the web icon below.

I see there will soon be a fee for the other form.

Yes Sir...OGR will start charging a yearly Subscription Fee to post images and eventually to post messages there. They are supposed to give out the details on Monday...They haven't said yet how much it will cost...

Jim,

Maybe I can return the favor since you helped me out recently. When I check the properties on your photos, I do not see an extension. (.jpeg, whatever). It looks as if it got truncated. Is your file string too long for this forum?

Just a thought.

I saw this thread on posting pics and thought that I would give it a try. The format is a little different than others I have used.

The preview seems to show the pic OK so here goes the reply key.

Chris - the file string is how hpphoto.com formats them...if the string is too long I wouldn't know how to abbreviate it. They are all in .jpg format on my hard drive and I see that most of the pics that do auto post here have the .jpg file extension from their properties. Dunno why hpphoto doesn't format them with that file extension. Oh well...

My Turn:

I thought it would be good to post an image of a very Toy-like Toy Train!

An MTH PS-1 Equipped 400E converted to TMCC via a Digital Dynamics Equalizer, running under TMCC through DCS.

Hi Jim,

It seems funny that you can post your photo on the profile but not on the form?

Maybe one of the form people can help with this one???

HA! Betcha I have the smallest one...(wink) 25 to 30 feet of trackage if that! Only 4 switches, set up for TMCC with a PowerMaster. Seriously thinking about adding DCS to it so I can run EVERYTHING! (See the DCS - TMCC thread)

I moved to a different image host and that fixed the autopost problem...thanks for all the help, gentlemen.

Well, I decided to give it a try:

This is a picture of a flat car that I'd like to get someday.

Well, the preview showed the dreaded box with a red x.

Here is the link:
http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkPhoto?GUID=66904324-536b-5d50-7bc6-602b11f8376d&size=md

I guess I'll just post links. I am not going to set up another account, on another picture hosting site (free or not) just to post pictures in my postings.

Hi Dr. John,

Sorry to say, I only see a box with that darn red X. [:(]

Hi Roger,

Your layout look good, would like to see more of it. [8D]

Thanks for a peek at mine. Spanky is 9 years old and a real joy to have. He often sets on my shoulder and will look down at one of the steam engines as it goes by and he will see the smoke and say “HOT”. When I blow the whistle, he will also go “woo woo”. What a hoot. [(-D]
