The earlier question was which era of train manufacture you operated (i.e. Prewar Lionel, Postwar Lionel, Modern era).

The intent of this one is which railroad era (i.e. "old timey," postwar (traditional road names), or modern (CSX, NS) you model, or if era doesn't matter.
