Green Scotch-Brite pad across center rail should solve your problem.

Problem with sparking on ScaleTrax?
Posted by magicman710 on Saturday, March 8, 2008 4:14 PM

Waiting for the rest of my track to come in, I have set up a little straight away of about 10 track sections, running my Legacy SD40-2 back and forth. (Yeah, I'm bored Wink [;)]. Anyway, I kept hearing a sound, then looked at the bottom to see all the rollers sparking on the middle rail. Now, I know that usually this means dirty track or pickup rollers, however this is a brand new engine and brand new track. Could it be the rollers dont like the black paint on the center rail or what?

Thanks for any advice. I think I'll contact Rich Batista, he has a huge layout of Scale Trax.
