Check out the mitrains.com website. Their software has been around for quite a few years.

There is a software program called TrainTracker (or something like that).  Don't know the specifics, but might be worth a look.  My Flyer guy has it on his website:

Hello, Has any one found a good easy to use software program for organizing there train collection.  I would like to store all my trains, acccesorios and parts. Probably well over a 1000items. I'm guessing 2000 photos plus info. Any info would help. Thanks Steven
