Chief, They work great. I upgraded a Beep to TMCC with one of Jon's kits and added the sound commander 2.

Hope to get the Curise Commander and upgrade my Williams scale Hudson to TMCC. Might do the Hogwarts set as well.

Yes, or can put cruise in no cruise TMCC engines.  I'm going to do the two GP9's [originally electronic reversing units] I had put Digital Dynamics mini commanders in.  Now they will have TMCC, cruise and sound.  Moving those kits to two cheap smaller switchers.  Third kit is going in a late 1970's U36B that has been converted to can motors but has not electronics.  If these work well, will do a PS1 engine and some more Uboats.  If I can get the electronic to fit in one end, these GP9's may end up with smoke.  Shock [:O]

Hi GIZ,

Just got mine today.  Wanted to upgrade my Southern Pacific Atlantic Lionel # 28070.  I called them last Monday and asked if it would cure a lurching thing I had with this engine and they said it would. I ordered it on Monday got it today.   I was about to put it in when I took notice while taking out the Molex connector that it was 6 wire and the CC M was a 4 wire.  I e mailed JON to see if I had the right one?  Will have to wait till Monday.

Never mind, I figured it out by looking at the installation manual on the Electrirr website.  I didn't realize the cruise control feature on model trains was accomplished using a tachometer.  Pretty interesting.  Electricrr appears to have a pretty nifty product.

What does "tachless" cruise control mean?

You'll find them fairly straight forward to install & use. Jon is also a great help if you need it.

I replaced a MTH PS1 system with Electric RR's, for a client, & he raved about the difference. Of course he's a TMCC fan.

I like the idea of swapping out the sound chip for a different sets of sounds.

Ordered Cruise Commander/Sound Commander Combo kits Thursday night and they arrived today.  Could not believe it and they came by USPS.  Can't wait to install them and run them.  Will keep all posted [may be after cruise]
