I have a nice set of of Lionel madison-irvington-manhatten cars circa 1947-49. When I ried to run them (I run everything) they shorted out because the wiring has become brittle and cracked. So a got some replacement wire, but now i can't figure out how to take them apart. Searched in my repair manuals, and online at Olsen's library, but it seems nobody has a reference to these. did Lionel ever put out service station reference for these cars? Has anybody been throught this?
