At this point my wife is all for my new found hobby, but she has a hidden agenda. When she would watch TV (dumb shows like the soaps, cooking, and Snaped) I would go in the livingroom and purposely ask her all kinds of stupid questions about what she was watching, just to annoy her, now Im usually in my train room, which leaves her free to watch her dumb TV shows in peace. As far as turning over all my finances to her will require alot of deep thought, and right now Im in over my eyeballs in deep thoughts, thoughts like whats next for my train lay-out, and which new trains should I BUY!!!???

Don
Man am I excited!!!!!! I just finished getting my track layed-put, pinned down, and wired up, and guess what??? It WORKS!!Yep, thats right, my first attempt at model railroading and everything works GREAT, but I can't take all the credit, I could'nt have done it without all the help you guys gave me. I put down my big oval, then put the switch tracks in with the fiber pins in the center rails of my switchers, then I put down my small oval, connected a Z-1000 to the big oval, and one to the small oval, oh and I wired up the switches too. When I pluged it all in and attempted to run the trains EVERYTHING went as planned. Man is it neat, Im a retierd 56 yr old man that feels like an 8 yr old kid, and I might add it feels pretty good. I can run two trains at one time, or I can run one train, and go from the big oval to the little oval, and back to the big oval again. I can't figure out why I waited 56 yrs before I started haveing this much fun!!?? I also just got my new steam loco, an MTH Railking Southern Crescent, it's a really nice engine it has all the bells and whistles, and does she smoke, it smokes so much my wife said she could see and small the smoke two rooms away, I think thats just too cool. I love all the cool loco sounds it makes, and the da%^mn thing actually talks, but I have'nt figured out how to get it to do that yet. The only negative is that while the engine is on the small oval, there is about a six inch stretch where it will slow-down, but as soon as it's over that, it speeds back up again, and that slow spot is right before my lockon is located, but im not going to sweat the small stuff. Next is getting the scenery, grass, dirt, trees, buildings ect, and I've got lots of ideas rolling around in my head. I'd like to again thank all of you for your generouse help.
