Black and red both go to the transformer "base" or "common" terminal.

Yellow goes to the transformer fixed voltage terminal, and should be provided with a fixed voltage of 15 volts.

Green goes to the control button. The other terminal on the control button also gets connected to the common terminal.

The white wire provided the ability to turn on and off the power to an insulated section of track while the station is playing. It's actually quite a neat feature, but finicky enough that I personally don't bother with it. If you choose to use it, though, it does have a resistor which leaks enough power to keep from tripping the e-unit. If you're using it with three rail, as I recall, the two outer rails will need to be insulated in order for it to work properly and NOT the center rail.
