Thank you... this one has a tender light so it must be a 21004 but I will open her up and verify... so was a 3 digit ever made like the cataloge shows? Heard a rumor that it had NKP markings on the tender.

21004 made in 1957.  21005 made in 1957 - 58.  In the shell of the loco is a date that will tell the month and year made if it was not removed in the refinishing process.  The 21004 had a tender light and the 21005 did not have a tender light.

The post war American flyer 0-6-0

Question. I have a few post war 0-6-0's with the slope back tenders. I have two 21004s, one 21005, and 4 shells that are numbered 21004, and lastly one custom repaint in NKP decals. The first question is when did the 21004's come out? Second, the 1957 catalogue shows a 0-6-0 numbered in a 3 digit series ( cannot rememeber the no. was 347 maybe?) But I cannot find any ever made?  Next question is when was the 21005 made? With the extra shells I have, I would like to return the custom painted 0-6-0 to original, how do I determine what year the custom painted 0-6-0 was made?

Thanks for the help and Run Those Trains!
