Posted by Nick12DMC on Monday, October 29, 2007 2:25 PM

Hi all, Does anyone know a Store with some of the Lionel logo bar stools in stock?

Mrs Nick12DMC wants to get a pair for our new Gamesroom.

Many Thanks

Hope you're able to find them. They make a fine addition to any train-head's room. Smile [:)]

Hi Nick,

Don't know about Lionel but check out:

http://www.seatsandstools.com/train-bar-stools-p-365.html

They have alot of different train bar stools for different rail roads with or without the back. Maybe they can make a train bar stool with Lionel on it?

Good Luck,

Allen

Try calling the Train Loft in Winston Salem NC. I think he has a few yet.

As of this past weekend there were several listed with BIN prices on the bay. One of them was Train-Station in NJ. They all were the Christmas 2009 version without the seatback. Prices were okay but the shipping is the big bite.

I have one and it's pretty nice.

When I was in Tractor Supply during the Holidays they had John Deere bar stools without the back for $39. Looked identical in style to the Lionel, heck of a difference in price.

I find all of the other "branded" bar stools, Craftsman, Husky... are priced considerably lower than the Lionel. I just can't explain it.

ezmike,
The most likely explanation is the Lionel stools are not mass produced in the quanties the others are produced, therefore demanding a higher price.

Budweiser / Busch bar stools are in the same price range as Lionel and I would guess they are probably in the top tier for volume sold.
