Almost everything I got for Christmas was trains and related items. My parents got me an American Flyer set from 1961, a Hornby O gauge brake van, an S gauge tinplate Japanese diesel I needed to complete a set, a gondola from a different Japanese tinplate set and a boxed Japanese TN HO NH F7 set. I got some HO items from around the late 50's from my aunt and uncle. I also got two train books from my grandma.

I voted for a mix of a, b, and c but I didn't get a loco this year. Got the Atlas O USRA boxcars in the Clinchfield scheme (what else!). Also got some MTH buildings and some railroad books. Life is good.

Well, a locomotive and a bag of coal was not a choice, but that's what I got!
K-Line 5344 Scale Hudson with all the horns bells and whistles was my loco (of choice, BTW). Worth all the effort Santa made to slide down the chimney.
However, the 'coal' was my rebuilt brass Williams Hudson, ca. 1984. It had been sent away for a complete re-working; flywheeled motor, Seuthe smoke, QSI sound, TMCC; the works, as orchestrated by Train America Studios.
With great anticipation of seeing this loco run after over 10 years on the shelf, I opened the original packing ~ only to find that it had apparently been damaged significantly in transit and the master carton was missing, apparently NOT included in the trip from Ohio.
We await word now from UPS.

No, but I got some money, so I went shopping on eBay. I picked up 9 scale cars, including an Atlas articulated auto rack. Total with shipping $280. If you count the auto rack as 2, that's $28 per car. That's the way to fill a large layout, at bargain
prices.[:D][yeah]

I got an Athearn Ready to Roll stack and the book Basic Painting and Weathering, perfect with the airbrush I got.

I got Hans Halberstadt's book "Working Steam" from my parents. I bought a Micro Trains B & O gondola with fishbelly sides and drop-ends in N-scale over Ebay. Happily satisfied with both.

Bought a Winter wondrland Lionel set for my son, and recieved an Early 90's Lionel Coastal Limited Set, It was a fantastic Xmas!

i got a atsf 4-8-4 northern,(railking)with ps-2,also atlasO signal light with relay shed,and expend hours at my train layout in company of friends & family! SANTA FE RULES!!!!!!!!!

Yes! my lovely wife presented me with the Lionel Riding The Rails Hobo set. Aside from the somewhat noisy smoke piston typical to these locos love the semi-scale Erie Hudson and the ultra-quiet hobo chase gondola (glad Lionel lost the vibrotor!) Cheers!

I got a few, a post war lionel f-3 set, some post war cars to fix, some smoke pellets, a layout book, and some old 260 bumpers. The'll keep me restoring well into february.

Yes J C Penney had a sale on the Lionel Berkshire. It comes with the display case and very good packaging. The engine is not what I was expecting for the price. It's pretty but the workmanship is nothing like the old Lionel Berks. The review in CTT was good and did mention the Turbine like wheels. I'll probably just admire it for its looks.
