You may have enough power but you won't get individual control as well as if you were to use four seperate transformers or a post war ZW with circuit breaker updates with the DCS system, one for each loop. Also may need another transformer to power the DCS unit with auxillary transformer power so that you don't have to depend on one transformer always being powered up and not getting proper control of your PS-2 or PS-1 locomotives. The DCS unit has enough inputs & outputs for four lines.
The jacks you are talking about are more commonly called Banana Jacks which can be bought at Radio Shack for more that the whole cable with jacks from MTH.
One other note; DCS will not properly control a TMCC equipped locomotive-may access some but not all features, also TMCC will not access all features of DCS, as there are production issues with Lionel & MTH with command control systems.

I just currently purchased the DCS system and am not quite sure how and if I can wire 2 Z-1000 into the system and have enough juice to power 3 loops. My layout is only 5 by 12. I called MTH and all they could provide is that I need to by Barrel Jack Adapters, which I already have and explained to the guy. Not very good customer service from this guy in my opinion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
