Trains on TV ???
Posted by BobbyDing on Sunday, August 26, 2007 9:18 AM

Hi Folks,

I used to use Yahoo TV to search for finding railroad related shows that I wanted to record/watch. Used to be you could enter a search word (rail, train, railroad, etc...) and it would give the related shows, along with the dates, times and channels for up to 2 weeks out. Recently they changed the site and it no longer does this (at least I haven't been able to make it work anymore).

Do you folks know any sites that are good for this? I've done the Google search, but most sites I've found search only for TODAY and not for a week or two out.

Thanks,

Bobby

Hi Bobby,

Direct TV, and Comcast both will provide searches with the results you are looking for, and will provide station call letters to let you know where it is playing.

RFD(channel 279 here) has something on this weekend about trains, or maybe monday, anyway check RFD scheduals for the next seven to eight days. History International, along with the History Channel, has a show or two about trains also.  Sometimes the travel channel has a program about cooking on a train and that is interesting.

If you have Directv look around in the channel guide, may not get programs if you auto program in the wish list on Directv.

Depends what you are looking for but TV Land(channel 301) has I Love Lucy and at times there is a program with train travel on, or ABCF(ABC Family, channel 311) has Family Matters with Steve Urkel "Did I do that?"
