An early start; here is the new to me 785 coaler and the 290 I recently refurbed
Take care
Jim
Well I tried to take some photos in the dark and they came out ok. The engines are a K-line PRR f-3 and a K-line NYC RS-3.

Jim, nice job on the tower and loco

After CSXT John twisted my arm here are a few shots of my layout.
(actually a large diarama, not much is running)
And to the Chief's dismay, my fictious railroad connects with the C & O (now CSX)
Another day of gossip at the "General Store".
After the Diesel gets it's fuel, into the "house" for the night.
(the roof on the "house" does leak, they've been trying to get it repaired for
quite awhile.)
Little Diesel getting ready to take on fuel.
(and the FRA (and crews) has been all over us to get handrails on the engine.)
(outside braced boxcar just came out of the paint shop, lazy guys couldn't/wouldn't put
lettering on it.)
Fire engine going back to quarters after a run.(end of that part of layout)
Chimney Rock. (so named for an old chimney that was covered in the house.)
Fire tower in back ground is a HO building, hopefully it gives an illision of distance.
[apologize for any dust, etc. you see on the overhead wires, I don't dust as often as I
should, and my house is over over 100 years old. (constant problem)]

Great pics guys and gal! Love those 18th Century tank cars, Tom! AB is always good and that caboose seems strangely inviting and friendly Jim - I really like that coal tower a lot - is it a PW or a repro?
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Great pictures everyone !! Glad Walt posted some of his layout pictures too !! I have a few that my buddy I work with took for me at the Ft. Eustis Va.Transportation Museum, while he was there . He's actually a trained police officer & now works as a yardmaster weekends in our yard & is an engineer the rest of the time. He became an officer now in the Nat.Gaurd & was down there for his BOC training. A very busy guy !!
Here's a steam eng. they used to use there & some other rolling stock.
Old Jordon Spreader.
I can't find the picture he took of an old Army truck that had RR wheels on it. Guess he forgot to download that one !
Thanks, John

Great shots everyone!
Love the scenery on some of our newer contributors layouts. Very well done. Lisa, your depot looks great! I am sure you'll get a name on her soon.
Walt (Locomutt), great scenery, I do think it would look more complete if you added a third rail Just kidding. All comers here are welcome, we even have some Flyer folks. I am glad you are here. I had read a Railroad Model Craftsman and Scale Model Railroader in which the magazines were scathed by subscribers for having a photo spread of......dare I say it, a 3-rail layout. Hey, we all love trains, and that should be what binds us together.
Please keep contributing. I hope to get to the point to add here too.

Everyone,
Great photos, thanks for posting.
Buckeye,
"Today we are honoring those great plastic men and women who are found on the Baltimore, Ohio and Wabash Railroad." Clever, I liked it.
Locomutt,
Nice diorama. I especially like the lines on the power poles and the cloud to cloud lightning flash in the background.

Oh, I feel so relieved now that Walt won't be going to the Dark side !! Remember Walt, your daughter will unfortunately, sometimes, maybe, have to move some N&S cars, I just hope she doesn't have to sit in any N&S engines !!

Jim- Thanks. The tower is post war original. When I got it the roof and brace was missing. I took the original roof and brace off a tower that I repainted and I'll put re-pros on the repaint and keep this one original.

Dave, you've really captured the look of Massachusetts! Love the town sign!!! But you got to paint the trooper's shirt blue!
Where did you get those die cast vehicles and trees in the photo?

Lisa, did you do the stonework on that staion platform? If so, you did a wonderful job!!! Your layout is getting there. Very nice. Need a name for that station? May I suggest "Eagles"?
Great photos everyone.
Lisa, I must say that your station does need a name. Eagles sounds too condescending. I would like to suggest a great name for your station; Damyankee Town.
Doug Murphy 'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...' Henry V.
Jim A - Yes, I did the "stonework" - uh - does it look "vaguely" familiar? If so, you caught me!!
No offense to the Chief, but don't think "Eagles" will do it. Maybe "Eagles Rock" or "Eagles Point"?? Even "Eagles Creek"
Buckeye - Not allowing any yanks in this town so guess your suggestion won't work. Sorry!
'Preciate the help anyway!
Lisa, your stone work does look vaguely familiar. You've taken it to a higher level than I did! Super job!
Guys and Gal, Thanks for the Welcome and compliments.
Lisa, that stone work looks really good, I think I might need to "hire" you to do a job around my layout!
The suggestions you got for naming your depot were pretty good. How about possibly dropping the "s" from Eagles, and just making it "Eagle Creek, Eagle Point, etc.
Chief, I don't have any NS equipment on my layout, but do have some Southern
and N & W stuff.
(Right time span, NS, WRONG TIME SPAM!!) (no misspelling there either!)
Jim, most of the trees on the layout are homemade from weeds that grow nearby. After they are picked generally around Nov. . They are sorted then bundled together with floral tape to a tree shape. They are then painted with spray bombs to a fall color. The tedious part is painting out the branches. The 2 pictured I'm not really sure what they are or where I picked them. They have an excellent bud that resembles a leaf. I probably tried them not sure of how durable they would be over the years. They have seemed to held up well. I've planted a lot of trees and in normal viewing they look good. Now that I'm photoing the layout a little more work with the trunk with some water putty they would look better. Normal viewing this isn't even noticeable. Amazing the things you see in a picture that go unoticed running trains.
The trooper I bought years ago at the Springfield, MA. show. Nicely detailed. But your right he isn't in the Mass. colors of blue or gray. The car is a 1949 Ford I believe was run by ERTL. The car pulled over is a 32 Ford. Die Cast Direct is running a series of 41 Ford State Police cars. Will probably change this one out when they run a MASS. version as it would fit my era of modeling better. Judging by the chrome wheels on the 32 I'm guessing it's suppose to be a street rod. The milk truck was a recent purchase. I tend to buy from Die Cast Direct or at local hobby shops and really don't pay attention as to who makes it as long as it is reasonably priced and fits into what I'm doing.
Atlleboro is the next town over from me. After years of looking for a Mansfield refrigerator magnet of a town sign I could copy. I saw the Attleboro one in a car ad in my local paper. Scaled it to size and planted on an unamed spot on the RR that now is Attleboro. Being from Mass and modeling the B&A and NH. . It seems half the towns end in boro, field, or ville.
